  • I do believe that there is a LOT more to the abortion issue than meets the eye.

Republican leaders, including ones that I voted for(!) have had 28 years to overturn Roe V. Wade.

I marched with Operation Rescue in DC. I picketed abortion clinics.

We helped groups that halped women keep their babies. We encouraged protesters that went to jail. We schemed with them and prayed with them. We did illegal things with them.  We got up at 4 a.m. to go help them, and yet what is the consequence of all this? Not much. Oh yes we could point to some reductions here  and there and some saved babies, but basically the carnage continues.

Is GOD Blessing this effort or not? And IF not, WHY not?

No one seems to be ASKING these questions!

    I would postulate that -

    A) MANY in the Republican Party have USED abortion as an issue to get Christians to vote for them, just like they are NOW trying to do with the homosexual marriage issue.(ANOTHER political football for suckers)

    B) Whether intentional or not, they seemed to have found it convenient NOT getting Roe. V. Wade overturned so long as they can keep using it as a politcal football.

    C) They don't want to do anything much to HELP women keep their babies. While I am grateful that I see a FEW organizations doing that, sadly most only concern themselves with getting the LAW changed rather than the hearts and minds of people and some from among them even took to murdering the doctors. Clue - screaming doesn't work well either!

    D) WHAT do we do about the LIVING CHILDREN among us? That speaks VOLUMES about our national intention...

    Many live in unbelievable situations...

Every year school budgets are cut so that people resort to putting their children in better private schools, further dividing the rich
and poor. OR we want School Vouchers so that the STATE can pay for RELIGIOUS indoctrination. A BIG "NO NO" with the Founding Fathers also.

MANY American Children grow up as though they were in a third world country without proper food and shelter and many without decent healthcare, due to the immoral insurance situation here.

These are my opinions only. I do not demand that you agree. I do not say that I am 100% correct on everything. I am just trying to sort through this, so please don't think I am saying I know it all and have all the answers. I don't.

I do think that growing up in a socialist country gives me an unusual perspective on all of it. I just ope I can discern the differences in the good and the bad parts of all of the various approaches.

    I would appreciate your thoughts.

    Peace in Jesus

@jccash - I am just kind of wandering around in here hoping to get it figured out! I don't know if we should be on the chat board or just leave a comment. But I am always open to learning new things.
